Belajar Grammar Bahasa Inggris Menggunakan Point Of View Mini-Story
- Hi, everybody... How are you doing today ? Hope you are doing fine. Hari
ini saya kembali lagi untuk menjelaskan metode belajar bahasa bahasa Inggris.
Metode kali berkaitan dengan pelajaran grammar, akan tetapi kita tidak akan
membahasa tentang aturan-aturan grammar melainkan kita akan menggunakan metode
lain dari pada yang lain yang tidak pernah anda temukan sebelumnya baik di
sekolah-sekolah formal maupun di tempat kursus. Metode ini saya namakan Belajar Grammar Bahasa Inggris
Menggunakan Point Of View Mini-Story.
Pada rule 2 kemarin, saya katakan jangan anda mempelajari
atura-aturan grammar karena akan merusak kemampuan speaking anda, tapi tentu
anda ingin menggunakan tata bahasa
Inggris dengan benar dalam berbicara. Barangkali anda berfikir “Bagaimana
mungkin saya bisa belajar grammar bahasa Inggris sedangkan saya sendiri tidak
mempelajari kaidah-kaidah atau aturan-aturan tata bahasa Inggris?” Biar anda
tidak bingung saya akan jelaskan lebih detail.
Baiklah, sekarang
saya akan mengajari anda cara belajar grammar secara natural (alami) tanpa
mempelajari grammar itu sendiri dengan menggunakan Metode Point Of
View Mini-Story. Pertama, setiap hari anda harus mendengarkan sebuah
cerita berbahasa Inggris yang
menggunakan present tense (waktu sekarang). Kemudian anda mendengarkan cerita
yang sama persis, akan tetapi kali ini menggunakan past tense (waktu lampau).
Dengan mendengarkan cerita tersebut anda bisa menghayati dan menyelami
seolah-olah anda berada pada waktu masa lalu, usahakan untuk merasakan
perbedaan waktu dari cerita yang anda dengar. Langkah selanjutnya, anda harus
mendengarkan cerita yang sama dari sebelumnya, namun gunakanlah perbedaan waktu
yaitu future tense (masa yang akan datang). Kalau anda kesulitan membuat cerita
sendiri, anda bisa mencari artikel bahasa Inggris yang bentuk waktunya
menggunakan present tense ( waktu sekarang). Setelah itu, minta bantuan guru
atau teman anda yang jago bahasa Inggris untuk menuliskan ulang artikel tadi
menggunakan bentuk past tense dan future tense. Terakhir, minta mereka untuk
membacanya sekaligus anda merekam. Dengan begitu anda bisa mendengarkan cerita
bahasa Inggris yang memiliki perbedaan waktu / grammar. Untuk lebih jelasnya
agar anda bisa memahami apa yang saya maksud, berikut saya akan berikan contoh
dari Point Of View Mini-Story.
POINT OF VIEW STORY (PRESENT
TENSE)
It’s Saturday night. Brad and Lisa are at
the same party. Brad really likes Lisa. He thinks she is beautiful. After a
few drinks he decides to talk to Lisa. He asks her if she is having a good
time. She says the party is awesome. Brad asks her if she wants another
drink. She tells Brad she would love a cocktail. Brad brings Lisa her drink.
He asks her is she’s seeing anyone. She tells Brad she is single. Brad tells
her that she has beautiful eyes. Lisa laughs and says thanks. Brad tells her
that he is interested in her. He says that he likes her a lot. Brad asks Lisa
if she wants to go to a movie tomorrow night. Lisa says, ok that sounds fun.

TENSE)
